I am a 67 year old OD born to a soldier from Arkansas, and a teacher from Louisiana. As a 2nd generation native Oklahoman, I was the first of my generation to get a college degree. I have a BS in biological sociometry in 1980. Before joining iRefract in April, I was in a private practice. I absolutely love working at iRefract. By communicating with my patients about their lifestyle, jobs, and hobbies and what vision challenges they are facing I have a better view of how to help them face these challenges. The equipment and technology provided by iRefract is state of the art and the techs here are the most professional knowledgeable and personable of anyone I have worked with. Anything we need and any problem we encounter, iRefract is willing and able to help us.

Dr. Brent Plaxico, born and raised in Oklahoma, joined iRefract Tulsa in June 2021. He received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2002. He then graduated from Nova Southern College of Optometry in 2006. Dr. Plaxico owned and started two optical practices in South Carolina for five even years. There he practiced routine eye care, but saw a large amount of eye diseases, like glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Co-management with specialists was seamless. Dr. Plaxico left his second home, where his daddy’s family hailed from, to be closer to his first home Oklahoma in 2015. Dr. Plaxico wore glasses and contacts since he was a child. His options are endless to suit the needs of his patients.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Dr. Roberson is very good and thorough with your eye exam. The staff, especially Debra, are exceedingly personable. My spouse and I enjoyed our time there and already made our next year's appointment!

I had a positive experience today. The staff was polite, patient and knowledgeable. Dr. Roberson took time to show me the pictures of my eye and discussed my eye health extensively. I felt I received much more attention than at a normal optometry office. The pace was slower and easier for me to navigate during the eye exam. Will go back.

The best eye doctor I’ve seen in a really, really long time! He was kind, fast, accurate and extremely courteous. Will not go anywhere else from now on! Dr. Plaxico is worth the visit and will become our family go to. Receptionist was as sweet and kind too! Love love love.

Costco is using this technology now, and it's great. No more dilating my eyes. In a few seconds, the computerized gadget takes a picture of the back of your eye, literally in the blink of an eye. It was fantastic. Plus the staff is friendly and thorough. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Everyone was very friendly and Dr. Roberson explained the details very well. They have new eye exam techniques that are a lot less intimidating than the traditional air shot to the eye and was in and out in under an hour. Highly recommend this location.
